Servicing under 3 years old

Back in 2002 the European Commission introduced the Block Exemption Regulation. This dictated that motor manufacturers could no longer force the consumer to use their service network on vehicle within the warranty period.

There were a few conditions:

  • The garage used must be VAT registered- This is an attempt to remove possibly unscrupulous ‘back street’ garages from servicing.
  • The parts used must be to the same standard or higher than that of the original parts
  • The mechanic carrying out the work must be qualified –  This is to prevent unqualified mechanics or DIY’ers servicing on a vehicle which they could damage by lack of knowledge.

The good news is that Cheviot 4×4 can look after your under 3 year old Land Rover because:

  • Cheviot 4×4 are VAT registered .
  • Cheviot 4×4 do have qualified Motor Engineers
  • Cheviot 4×4 do use quality parts which will not affect the warranty.

We have serviced hundreds of vehicles under Land Rover warranty and never has it affected the warranty.
