Established in 2003, Cheviot 4×4 is an independent Land Rover specialist based in North Shields, Tyne & Wear offering a full range of services for owners and enthusiasts of Land Rover vehicles. We offer both genuine and premium quality aftermarket parts & preparation equipment as well as a full fitting, service and repair facility.

Cheviot 4×4 are synonymous with quality by offering a first class service and competitive prices on quality parts to our customers regardless of what they drive. Meet The Team


David Crossman

Managing Director

With a wealth of experience gained as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the engineering, production and fabrication industry, Dave is our go to man and idea generator.

He is also Land Rover diagnostic trained and a certified Advanced Automotive Engineer and an active Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry.

Lynsey Crossman


Lynsey works part-time between our two businesses, she is customer liason for Cheviot 4x4 and is in charge of order fulfilment and goods-in for our sister fabrication company.

She is also a busy mother and is chairperson of the board of governors for our local school.

Ken Crossman

General Manager

Ken is Daves' Father and although a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Institute of Management has found his hardest job ever working with his son.

He is part-time member of the team overlooking the general management of the business bringing his extensive management expertise gained in the Public services. He apparently works on reception but often takes time off to head over to France. It has become a standing joke that Ken is off more time than the gas.

Dave Millar

Motor Engineer.

Originally a customer, Dave brings his wealth of experience gained with many years in the motor industry. Ford trained back in the 80′s, he is meticulous about his workmanship, has excellent knowledge on Land Rovers old an new plus,he loves explaining things to customers.

He currently drives a 1996 Discovery and although he is often tempted by the newer models, he just can’t bring himself to part with his faithful friend.

Susan Crossman


Susan runs stock control ensuring we have the correct amount of spares at all times. She also helps out in the packaging department ensuring customers get their orders swiftly and correctly.
